Mango & cauliflower smoothie with a turmeric twist

filling and good for gut health (high in pre-biotics)
This smoothie is actually delicious. The inclusion of cauliflower adds in a good dose of pre-biotic power, it also includes turmeric. You can use fresh or powdered turmeric. Just remember to add a sprinkle of black pepper as this is needed to activate the active ingredient curcumin in turmeric
cup of frozen mango (can buy from the supermarket)
2-3 small florets of cauliflower
cup of milk or milk alternate
1/2 tsp of chopped turmeric or 1/2 tsp dried turmeric (made into a paste with a drop or two of water)
extra ice if needed
- Put all ingredients into a blender. Mix together at a high speed for 20-30 seconds
- Serve ice cold with a straw.
