About Jane

About Jane Freeman

Making sense of cancer is not easy. There is much that will be thrust upon you and as you are hit with its many impacts, you will want to do what ever it takes to feel normal and strong enough to fight.

After the treatments, the food you prepare, cook and then eat will be one of the most important factors in how you get on.

My desire to work with food and nutrition stemmed from the deep influence my mother had on me. Although I lost her to cancer early on in my career, she left an enormous imprint on me in a love of food, fitness and cooking, and this has continually fueled my passion to pursue excellence across what is now over 20 years of wonderful and inspiring experiences working with people as a Dietitian & Sports Nutritionist.

JANE'S APPROACH

Jane Freeman is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (ASDA) and an Accredited Practicing Nutritionist (APN), author and Leith's trained cook who has over 20 years of nutrition and dietetic practice experiences. Jane is also an Accredited Sports Dietitian (ASDA) and has an elite International Olympic Committee (IOC) graduate diploma in performance and sports nutrition.

Jane's approach is thorough and spends the time needed to piece together the challenges  and impacts of any medical or health issues, with the specific dietary updates that can help with best treatment outcomes.

In doing this she will also help you to find the easiest and smartest way to action changes needed. This will include working out clear meal plan targets, providing lots of nourishing meal, snack or supplement suggestions and she will share her kitchen know-how, gleaned from many years of working with people who are fighting cancer and other health problems.

Her CANcook online eat-well menu program can also help imprint the essential tasks needed to eat and enjoy eating well. It includes inspired recipes, healthy fighting food tips and instructions on how to BULK meal prep of up to FIVE meals in one go. Jane also runs monthly hands on workshops out of her kitchen.
